Osteopathy explained in 4 simple steps
Osteopathy is a safe professional treatment centered on restoring pain free movement to the muscles and joints of the body
There are four stages in every consultation:
The case history: your Osteopath will take a history to discover the details and the background to the problem
Examination: It is normally necessary to undress to some extent so your Osteopath can examine the area requring treatment and to assess how that area moves
Treatment: Osteopathy is very hands on! The patient lies on a treatment table while the Osteopath works on the relevant muscles and joints
Post treatment care: Where necessary, stretches and exercises can be given, as well as advice on dos and don'ts following treatment
